Game Story:

As Kratos ascends Olympus, he meets some of the gods who have deceived him in the past, including Hermes, Helios, and Hera. He also faces his erstwhile comrade, Poseidon, who fights him in a furious battle atop a gigantic statue. Kratos eventually overcomes Poseidon by tearing out his eyes, causing devastating floods across the planet.
As Kratos ascends, he comes upon Zeus, the ruler of the gods, who tries to persuade him to abandon his quest for revenge. However, Kratos stays undaunted, fighting Zeus in a terrible struggle that ends with the destruction of Gaia and Zeus’ apparent death. The game concludes with Kratos’ apparent death, although a post-credits sequence implies that he may have lived, leaving his fate up to interpretation.
