Sonic Mania, a side-scrolling Sonic game created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, pays homage to the original Sega Genesis Sonic titles. The game has thirteen levels, including some that have been reworked versions of earlier games. Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are on a quest to defeat Doctor Eggman, his robot goons and the Hard-Boiled Heavys.
The development team was made up of members who were well-known for their contributions to Sonic fangames and ROM hacking. The development team was formed after Christian “Taxman”, the principal developer, programmer, and director of Sonic Team, Takashi Iizuka, saw a playable prototype.
Game Story
Sonic Mania Free Download Pc, a side-scrolling game similar to the Sega Genesis or Sega CD games of the past, is a platformer. Select from three characters with different abilities. Tails are able to fly and swim. Knuckles can glide and climb walls. Sonic can perform a “drop-dash” which sends him soaring after a jump.
Sonic Mania is made up of 13 zones or stages. Sonic Mania includes five original zones, and eight “remixed”, such as the Green Hill Zone of the original Sonic game from 1991. The remixed levels are a combination of brand-new components and repurposed themes and gags from previous Sonic games. Each zone is divided into two acts where the player must guide their character to the end by overcoming obstacles and enemies.
The Hard-Boiled Heavys are elite henchmen modelled on the EggRobo enemies from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. At the end of each act, the player will engage in a boss battle against Dr. Robotnik or Doctor Eggman.

Retro Visuals: The game’s pixel-art visuals will bring fond memories to Sega Genesis fans.
Multiple Playable Characters: Players can take on the role of Sonic, Tails or Knuckles. Each character has distinct abilities. There are many gaming options available. Sonic is the fastest; Tails can fly and swim, and Knuckles can glide and climb walls.
Special Levels: Sonic Mania has unique levels in which players can hunt UFOs and Chaos Emeralds in three-dimensional space. Super Sonic, a more powerful and capable version of Sonic, is unlocked when all Chaos Emeralds have been collected.
Time-Attack Mode: This mode allows players to compete against the clock in order to complete stages as quickly as possible. This mode encourages speedrunning and level layout.
Competitor Mode: In Sonic Mania’s competitive multiplayer mode, two players can race against each other on a split-screen.
