The game is a side-scrolling beat ’em up based on the comic series Xenozoic Tales. The game was created as a tie-in to the short-lived Cadillacs and Dinosaurs animation series that aired the same year it was released.

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs takes you into a world of dinosaurs and humans living together. The trouble begins when evil gangs attempt to steal dinosaurs’ resources. Your team and you must battle through jungles and dangerous streets to protect dinosaurs and defeat the bad guys.
