Warcraft 2 Tides of Darkness, a fantasy real-time strategy computer game created by Blizzard Entertainment, was a follow-up to Warcraft: Orcs & Humans. The game won many PC gaming awards and received many positive reviews. Warcraft 2 Tides of Darkness can be described as a combination of a strategy and a war game. It’s a battle between orc hordes and the human forces of Azeroth. 

You can choose to help the orcs or humans, but your missions are the same. For example, you could destroy an enemy camp, save an ally captured, or even sacrifice an enemy oil refinery. It would help if you had your peonies and peasants collect gold, oil, and wood to build a better war machine while you defeat the opposing forces. Human forces will eventually destroy the Dark Portal, through which orc hordes enter Azeroth. Orcs will end their campaign when they gain a foothold within the kingdom of Azeroth.

The player collects resources in order to build buildings and create units that can be used to fight an enemy. The player can access more advanced units by building technological buildings and conducting research. The screen displays the area where the player is operating. User interface

• The top of the screen shows the player’s resources, including gold, trees and farms.
• On the right side of the screen is the largest part of the map where the player currently operates. The player can select buildings and friendly units.
• Top left, the minimap shows the whole territory on a reduced scale. It also highlights the area where the player currently operates. The player can choose another area to display on the large screen by clicking or dragging a thumbnail.
• This area in the middle left shows the buildings and units. This area shows statistics for vital units and their health status if units are of the same kind.
• The lower left corner of the screen shows all the updates and actions available for the selected unit/building.
