Total War Shogun 2 takes place in Japan’s Sengoku Jidai (the “Age of the Warring States”). The Ashikaga Shogunate is out of control, and rival clans are fighting to take power. The players take on the role of daimyo, a clan leader, who must expand territories, build alliances, and lead armies to become Japan’s next Shogun.
This game has two modes of play. Turn-based strategies where you control your clan’s economy and diplomacy and manage provinces. Battles in real time where thousands of soldiers fight on the battlefield at your command. The ability to adapt and change with changing political and military conditions is essential to success. Total War Shogun 2 is a game that immerses you in the history of Japan.
Game Story:
Civil war has ravaged 16th-century Japan after the collapse of the Ashikaga Shogunate. Formerly loyal provinces are now rivals, and powerful clans fight for survival. You play the role of daimyo – the leader of an ancient clan whose ambition it is to be the best.
You must defeat rival warlords to claim the title of Shogun. To do so, you will need to secure loyalty and unify the divided land under your banner. Only one person will be able to rule Japan supreme in an era of betrayal and honour. Will it be you or someone else?
