As high deficit spending can lead to the settlement going bankrupt and collapsing, it is important to raise the quality of life for the residents, keep the sectors balanced, and monitor the environmental condition.
To start a new game, we select a date between 1900 and 2100. The mechanics of the game will change depending on which period you select. The subway was not built until 1910. Nuclear fusion, in general, won’t happen until 2050. Nuclear power plants aren’t practical until 1954. Migration will increase, and the needs of people will change over time.
Game Story
A sequel was created due to the popularity and longevity of SimCity and the relative failures of other “Sim”-based games. SimCity 2000 Full Version expanded the idea. SimCity 2000 Full Version replaced the overhead perspective with a dimetric, nearly isometric view. Subsurface levels were also added for water pipes and subways.
The budget and financial control are also more complex. This allows for different tax rates to be set for commercial, residential and industrial zones. The city was able to establish local regulations and connect with other cities. Financial limitations are essential for managing the city effectively.
SimCity Features:
Multiple tile sets for cities: This game allows players to build a variety of cities by choosing from a range of terrains and habitats. These include meadows or woods as well as coastal regions.
Greater Flexibility of Zoning Options: SimCity 2000 gives players more zoning choices. They could designate zones with different densities to accommodate residential, commercial and industrial districts. This would allow for more complex and detailed city planning.
Players can create roads in various widths and configurations including curving roads. The city plan gained an extra dimension of originality and authenticity.
Utilities and Power Plants: Players were responsible for supplying electricity to towns by building power plants that could use nuclear, coal or renewable energy.
Transportation: SimCity 2000 PC offered a variety of transportation options, including buses, subways and trains. Players can build public transit infrastructure to reduce traffic and efficiently transport people.
Progression through History: Beginning in 1900, the player can see the evolution of the city over time.
