Resident Evil 6 features a third-person shooter with unique abilities for each character, including faster reloading times and more ammunition. A player can invite another player to play online in single-player mode at any time. Quick-time events can occur when executing certain tasks because the player has to follow the instructions on the screen in a limited time by pressing buttons or manipulating control arms.

When a player’s life is low, they will only have a limited amount of time to defend themselves while their teammates try to revive them. Zombies and the new J’avo are the game’s main opponents. J’avo, unlike zombies, can coordinate attacks, use weapons, and heal itself. Depending on where the damage is, certain J’avo varieties are susceptible to mutations that improve their fighting ability. There are 15 different mutations in the game. Resident Evil 6 features two new game modes. In Mercenary Mode, players must fight to survive against hordes of enemies.

New Control System: Resident Evil 6 has a new control system that allows the player to shoot on the move while slipping, roll in any direction, and take cover with the addition of an improved engagement attack.
No Mercy – This bonus mode has twice as many enemies than The Mercenaries, and is only available for PC users!
