The story revolves around Biosafety Assessment Coalition Agents Chris Redfield and Shiva Alomar and their investigation of a terrorist threat to Kijogo, an imaginary African province. Chris must face his past, which includes his old nemesis, Albert Wesker and his former partner, Jill Valentine. A British Board of Film Ratings reviewed the game and determined that it was not racist.
Game Story
Five years after Resident Evil 4’s events, Chris Redfield was assigned to Kijuju in Africa. Shiva of the age, his new partner, is tasked with stopping Ricardo Irving from selling a bioweapon on the illegal market.
They learn when they arrive that the BSAA Alpha team has been killed and the residents have been infected with Las Plagas, also known as “Majini”. The BSAA Delta squad saves Chris and Shiva, including Captain Josh Stone, Shiva’s mentor.
Chris finds a picture of Jill Valentine in Stone’s files. She is presumed dead after an encounter with Albert Wesker. Chris, Shiva, and Delta Tim approach Irving, but he manages to escape with the help of an intriguing person. Irving leaves the papers that led Chris and Sheva into the oilfield wetlands. The paperwork for the transfer is what they thought would be the deal.
Sheva cannot find Stone in the bodies. When Chris and Shiva return to squad Delta to rejoin the group, they learn that BOW has wiped out the entire squad. Chris refuses to report to headquarters to see if Valentine is alive.
