Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is a 4X Turn Based Strategy video game. The goal of Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is the same as in previous installments: to build a civilization over thousands of centuries to become a world power.
The players can do this by exploring, creating and improving new cities, using military forces to defend and attack others, researching new technology and civic culture and engaging in trading and negotiations with world leaders.
The game featured many civilizations which were not present in previous civilizations. Many returning civilizations also had new capitals and new leaders. The design of the game was aimed at preventing the player from following the same path towards improvement of their civilization as they did in previous games.
Civilization VI offers new ways to interact and explore your world. Cities are expanding all over the map. Active research in technology, culture, and history opens up new opportunities. Rival leaders will compete to win the game by pursuing their agendas based on historical traits.
Game History:
In Civilization 6, city improvements such as military facilities were built in separate mosaics from the main mosaics of the cities. A map that is older than the current one can be used to highlight squares that haven’t been explored yet or are not being noticed by the player. Civilization VI continues the gameplay established in Civilization V. This includes the hexagonal grid introduced in Civilization V.
Civilization VI introduces the concept of “dismantling a city.” Some improvements to cities must be placed within city limits but not in the space. In previous games, improvements were stacked onto the hexagonal or square map on which the city was situated. The player must select specific hexes in the city as “zones,” which come with certain restrictions but also grant bonuses to improvements placed there.
Civilization VI Features:
Extended Empires: See the masterpieces of the empire spread out across the map as never before. You can measure your cities so that they fit the terrain.
Active Search: Unlock reinforcements to accelerate your civilization’s progress throughout history. Use your units to explore your environment, develop it and discover new cultures.
Dynamic Diplomacy: Interactions with other civilizations change throughout the game. From early primitive interactions, where conflict is the norm, to later negotiations and alliances.
Assembled Weapons: Expanding the “one unit per tiles” design, support and other units such as infantry with warriors or anti-tank with colonists can now be combined. The same units can be combined into powerful “legions.”
Multiplayer improved: In addition to the traditional multiplayer modes, you can collaborate and compete in a wide range of situations with your friends. All are designed to be completed easily in one session.
A VIC For All Players: Civilization VI gives veteran players new options to fine-tune and build their civilizations for maximum success. New tutorial systems help new players get up to speed quickly.
