Sid Meier’s Civilization III, a turn-based strategy game, requires you to build an empire from scratch starting in 4000 BC. C. and beyond. The player is required to build and upgrade cities. They must also train military and civilian units, improve the terrain, find new techniques, create wonders of the world, and establish peace or war with nearby civilizations.
To be successful, the player must have a good balance between infrastructure, business and diplomatic resources, city and empire management and culture, as well as military strength.
Game Story
The grid is made up of squares. Each city, upgrade of terrain, and unit are located in a certain space. Each space can accommodate any number of units. The floor tiles can include improvements for transportation (roads or rails) as well as improvements for land (farms or mines) or cities. Two cities cannot be built within one slab of each other.
Each slab is made up of a certain type of land, which determines the amount of food produced, production, and trade when it “works.” Only if one of twenty mosaics surrounds a city can you make a mosaic. Each city is limited to one mosaic at a given time.
The player uses food to expand their cities. Food is needed by every unit in the game to survive, and any excess food can be stored. Civilization III PC Full Version uses production, represented as “shields,” to build units, buildings and wonders. The player’s economic system is driven by trading. The player can divide this trade between tech research and tax revenue. Each serves a different purpose.
Citizens of each city are in a particular state of mind. If a majority of citizens are unhappy, then the city will fall into civil chaos, and production will cease. If civil unrest continues for a very long time, it could cause unrest that would ruin the improvements. If most citizens were happy, then they would love their leaders, and economic benefits would increase.

Expanded Civilization Management: Civilization III Download offers enhanced empire management. Players can control things like trade, culture, diplomacy and military expansion. The new system of cultural borders made cities more dynamic and influenced nearby territories, making expansion more strategically important.
New Government & Political Systems: The players could choose between a number of different government types that affected the economy, production and diplomacy. The addition of waste and corruption mechanics made it more difficult to manage vast empires and encouraged careful planning and governance.
Unique Civilization Traits & Leaders: Civ III, unlike previous versions, assigned traits to each civilization, such as Militaristic or Scientific. This shaped the playstyle. Each civilization had its leader, who added variety to the gameplay.
Strategic & Luxury Resources: Trade and expansion became more important with the introduction of strategic and luxurious resources. The need for specific resources to build certain military units or buildings made diplomacy and territorial control even more important.
Improved AI & Diplomacy System: AI opponents became smarter, negotiating alliances and forging treaties. They even held grudges because of past interactions. The improved diplomacy system encouraged strategic relations rather than simple war.
