The storyline of the game is based on a fictional tale based on actual events. It follows the centuries-old conflict that has existed between the Assassins, who fight for peace through free will, and the Knights Templar, who seek peace by controlling others. The plot is set in the mid-18th century during the Seven Years’ War and follows Shay Patrick Cormack. He’s an assassin who became a Knight Templar and hunts down former Muslim Brotherhood spies who betrayed him.
Rogue’s gameplay is similar to Black Flag, with a mixture of third-person exploration on land and ship-based exploration. It also includes several other elements. The game was praised for its gameplay, mature storyline, complex protagonist and sophisticated depictions between the temple knights and the assassins. Critics also praised the additions to franchise and naval traditions. Some critics, however, criticized the game because it didn’t invent the formula and was similar to previous games, with a black banner.
Game Story
Assassin’s Creed Rogue is an action-adventure stealth game with a third-person perspective. It takes place in a large open world. The maritime themes of previous games are brought back as the player takes command of the Morrigan Tea Ship. Morrigan’s draft is smaller than Jackdao Ed Kenway’s from Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.
This allows river crossing. The new features include ship-based weapons such as the ability to ignite an oil slick, Puckle guns and allow opponents to ride Morrigan while they battle from one ship to another.
A polar climate enhances the maritime experience, as an icebreaker can slam down certain icebergs. There are no Black Flag diving missions because the cold waters of the North Atlantic quickly deplete the player’s energy.
